WHY I AM STARTING A WEB DEVELOPMENT AGENCY
Dear freelancer, have you ever asked yourself “where do I see myself in the next 2 years” before? Well, I asked myself that question 2 years ago and I am seriously disappointed with my current situation, so I have decided to take a new direction (MRESEOSA.COM) and I need to share it with you.
So who am I? I am a full-stack web developer (which, is a fancy way to say that I build all types of websites) and I started learning how to build websites when I was 15 years old unfortunately I had no one to guide me so I only started building websites 3 years ago and so far, I have created some of the best website designs for clients and got some of the best commendations.
So it seems like I have nothing to complain about, right? Well if you ask a lot of freelancers why freelancing is not advised comparing to a stable 9 – 5 they will tell you what I am about to tell you “The pay is not consistent”: On some days I can be a big boy in my friend group and on some other days I could be soaking garri regularly, That aside 2 years back I set a list of goals for myself which is that 2 years from now:
I am going to have my own place
I am going to be financially independent
I am going to have my own developer setup
For those of you that don’t know what a developer setup is, it is basically like the dream of having an iPhone but for people into tech.
Fast forward 2 years later, none of those goals came through so I have made a decision to create a strategic path and set more specific goals for myself through a business called my new web design agency called MRESEOSA, the reasoning behind this is to keep myself accountable by documenting my journey here on starting a web design agency, hopefully I will be able to give insight or more importantly motivation to others who need it.
I promised myself to keep this short so I will end it here, so I will be posting updates on my journey here and on my website MRESEOSA.COM and I would love to hear your goals and how you are working towards achieving your goal.
